Paid Social Specialist

The Paid Social Specialist will help lead and define social strategy for a prominent Grocery store chain which is a highly known family owned grocer primarily within the Northern California area. The Social Media Specialist will assist in establishing and evolving standards to optimize how We leverage and executes Paid Social across the customer journey. This role directly reports to the Sr. Social Media Specialist and will collaborate with account Strategy and Digital team members.


  • Plan paid social campaigns and activities across social channels including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and Pinterest

  • Execute social campaigns, forecasting and monitoring all budgets

  • Conduct daily optimizations against campaign goals

  • Analyze metrics, providing progress reports and suggesting new optimizations, promotions and initiatives for social reach to key stakeholders

  • Create and provide detailed weekly campaign reports

  • Conduct targeting and optimization data analysis to drive performance

  • Prepare detailed documents, including strategic plans, competitive analyses, promotional plans and well-researched POVs

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop marketing and holistic digital plans

  • Evaluate the metrics of project success and deliver strong recommendations based on outcome

  • Analyze current-state paid social media campaigns and determine areas of improvement, expansion and refinement


  • 1-2+ years’ experience managing paid social media campaigns

  • Must possess strong knowledge and technical understanding of social media networking channels and social media ad exchanges

  • Previous experience in the successful planning, implementation and management of social media campaigns (emphasis on retail category a plus)

  • Must be comfortable in conveying social analytics and learnings in verbal and written settings

  • Deeply digitally-savvy with a passion for the latest news, events, products and trends pertaining to the web and online marketing

  • Deadline and detail oriented and flexible enough to adjust to new opportunities as they arise

  • Stay current and forward thinking on new social media tools and platforms, best practices and use cases within the competitive landscape

  • Strong MS Excel skills

  • Excellent verbal and written skills

  • Facebook Blueprint or Twitter Flight School certification a plus, but not a requirement

  • Experience within the retail vertical a plus, but not required
