Senior Analytics Manager

WE are a boutique social media agency focused on fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands. The Analytics Manager reports to the Director of Analytics and works closely with the account management team to understand what is happening on our clients’ social channels, draw keen insights as to why it is happening and propose recommendations on what should be done about it. He has a solid understanding of social metrics, the ability to relate them to business goals and a knack for using that information to further engage and empower our social audiences.

 

Responsibilities

  • Utilize social analytics data to provide actionable insight into what is happening online and why it is happening – and to recommend courses of action to improve metrics

  • Provide insight into which media spends, social content, campaigns, themes, strategies and tactics are working, which are not working and why

  • Development, targeting, placement and ongoing optimization of social media ad placements on Facebook, Instagram and other outlets as needed

  • Build Excel models for testing, analyzing and optimizing social media campaigns

  • Liaise with analytics providers to facilitate integration of social data into Social House workflows

  • Document key steps, procedures, results and other relevant information for analyses

  • Work with Vice President, Client Services to execute ad hoc data analyses in response to both existing and new business requests

  • Provide reporting and analysis that delivers actionable insights per client KPIs

  • Communicate insight and recommendations to appropriate parties as needed in a timely manner

  • Track and monitor daily growth and engagement across all client platforms and convey to Account, Community and Content team

  • Support account teams on new business pitches

  • Research and track competitive intelligence on social

 

Skills & Experience 

  • At least 5+ years of social analytics experience is required

  • Experience applying an analytical mindset to deliver successful solutions to challenging problems

  • Knowledgeable data-driven analytical marketer with a firm grasp of business, social analytics and core social KPIs — and the ability to make recommendations to improve performance

  • Knowledge of Facebook Ads Manager and Power Editor

  • Very solid background in Excel, including lookups, pivot tables, VB script and custom macros

  • Experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, including goals, funnels and segmentation analysis

  • Knowledge of MySQL or similar relational database scripting languages

  • Basic understanding of statistics social reporting, optimization, Excel

  • Experience in creating and maintaining social analytics dashboards using Google Docs, public APIs, Excel macros or other methods

  • Confident and effective oral and written communicator who is able to distill technical and marketing lingo into understandable, actionable takeaways for clients.
