Digital Media Planner

The Digital Media Planner is responsible for the development and day-to-day management of the media plan, including buy recommendations, execution details, and maintaining budgets. This position will work on a prominent Entertainment client.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Idea Development: Compile RFPs and work with publishers to develop media executions 

  • Plan Development: Negotiate with publishers, compile plan specifics, assign budget by publisher, accurately finalize all client-facing documents

  • Create media plans that are best positioned to meet the media objectives and strategies of the client’s business 

  • Develop campaign performance insights that inform ongoing optimization recommendations 

  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with the publisher community 

  • Proactively monitor category landscape and identify trends/partners for upcoming campaigns

  • Manage positions on lower level (Assistant Media Planner) while effectively ‘managing up’ to ensure communication and effective performance

Qualifications

  • 2+ year(s) of agency digital media experience 

  • Experience developing and managing audience segmentation in a data management system

  • Knowledge of social and native campaign execution strategies

  • Insurance category experience a plus

  • Refuses to accept the status quo in planning, negotiation, and execution

  • Believes that innovation starts with listening

  • Constantly dedicated to finding better solutions 

  • Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail in all work and communication 

  • Strong understanding of digital analytics reports and able to translate data into client reports

  • Ability to understand client goals and translate them into media strategy 

  • Strong sense of initiative and ability to work against deadlines 

  • Process oriented, with the ability to manage all aspects of a campaign 

  • Highly proficient in Excel; must be able to perform advanced functions and pivots

  • Experience using 3rd party ad serving technologies and research tools - ComScore, Sizmek, Google Ad Words, etc.
